Inspiration and Motivation

Hi all! or hello to myself if no one is reading this.

I have been so busy painting! I looked at Joanne Coletti's site
and was so inspired! Her house is GORGEOUS!! I just want to move right in!

Anyway, I have painted a cabinet white, a lamp peach, a small wooden table with iron legs, white (but I think I'm going to paint the ironwork yellow) and have the top of the table half mosaiced. This is all in anticipation of decorating my new home.

I gave an old rocking chair a dab of paint on one arm to see what it will look like. It's probably going to take 3 coats as it is very dark wood and I think I'm going to paint it shabby pink. I'm trying to get all this done before July 7 as that is my closing date and after that I will be extremely busy redoing the house. I don't plan on moving in until late October and I have my present home rented as of Nov 1.

I also am so motivated to finish other projects I have started. I want to finish this stained glass window to hang in the new house as some kind of room divider.

With all the skylights in this house, it should really glow! I scrounged up 4 of these wooden framed windows on freecycle and want to mosaic the frames of 2 of them and do the fourth on the glass again.

I'm also keeping my eyes open for a "shabby floral" couch on craig's list. I saw one in a huge red floral but I don't think I want red. I looking for one in muted colors.

Well as usual the day is getting away from me so I'll end this post and get back to painting.

Wow, Linda, you do have a lot of work ahead, but what fun it will be to watch it come together! I got your site through the Etsy Cottage group. Glad to have you with us. I'm fairly new myself and enjoy the group, although I haven't opened an Etsy store just yet. Working on it though! I'm adding you to my reads at my cottage chic blog.

Hi Deb!

Thanks for adding me. You can watch me sink or swim, although not in that pool the way it is now! LOL!
